Definition
Richard Westoby is defined as: the co-founder of IVF Daddies and Director of International Business Development at Ivy Fertility. He is the author of Our Journey: One Couple's Guide to U.S. Surrogacy (2013) and co-host of the IVF Daddies podcast. Based in London, he has spent over a decade helping European intended parents navigate US IVF and surrogacy.
Richard Westoby became a father in 2012, when his boy/girl twins were born via US gestational surrogacy — one of the earliest documented UK-to-US surrogacy journeys. The following year he published Our Journey: One Couple's Guide to U.S. Surrogacy, a step-by-step guide that remains one of the only practical references written by an intended parent for intended parents navigating the US system from abroad.
Since then, Richard has worked as an international advocate, educator, and institutional bridge between the UK and US fertility industry. He is currently Director of International Business Development at Ivy Fertility, one of the largest fertility networks in the United States, where IVF Daddies is formally recognised as an affiliated educational platform.
Through the IVF Daddies podcast — which he co-hosts with Julio Gaggia — Richard has interviewed embryologists, reproductive attorneys, agency directors, and intended parents across nine seasons and more than 100 episodes.
