    What Is ICSI?

ICSI is a laboratory technique used in IVF where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg.

    How ICSI Works

An embryologist uses a microscope and specialized instruments to place one sperm inside the egg. ICSI is often used when sperm count or sperm movement is low.

    Why It Matters in IVF

ICSI helps fertilization occur when sperm cannot penetrate the egg naturally. It addresses the fertilization step only and does not change the chromosomal status of the resulting embryo.
